Who we are and how to reach us
Cupareo is an online magazine available at https://cupareo.com.
For any privacy question or request, email [email protected]. You can also use the Contact page on our site.
What comes to us and how
You do not need to create an account to read Cupareo. Reader registration is closed and we do not run a newsletter, ads, or affiliate tracking.
Information reaches us in a few straightforward ways:
- Comments. If you post a comment on an article, WordPress receives what you type (comment text), your name as you provide it, your email address, your website if you include one, your IP address, and browser user agent to help with moderation and fraud prevention.
- Emails you send us. When you email any @cupareo.com address, we receive your message, email address, headers, and any information you include.
- Server and CDN logs. Our hosting environment and caching/CDN layer record technical logs when you load pages, including IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are standard for operating a website.
Why we use this information
We handle the information above to run the magazine, keep it secure, and communicate with you.
- Publish and moderate comments and prevent spam or abuse.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and measure the performance of the site using server and CDN logs.
- Respond to requests you send to our email addresses, including editorial pitches, partnership inquiries, DMCA notices, or privacy questions.
Cookies and local storage
Cupareo does not run advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress and our caching/CDN layer use essential cookies so the site works properly.
- Comment convenience. If you leave a comment, WordPress can store your name, email, and website in cookies on your device so you do not have to retype them next time.
- Administrator session. WordPress sets authentication and session cookies for the site’s administrator when logged in. These are not set for regular readers.
- Caching/CDN. Our performance layer may place cookies or similar storage to route traffic, balance load, and serve cached content efficiently.
Who may see your information
We do not sell your data. Access is limited to what is needed to run Cupareo.
- Site administration. The site’s administrator can view comment submissions and related metadata and receives emails you send to our published addresses.
- Hosting and CDN providers. Our infrastructure partners process technical traffic data and logs to deliver the site. They act as independent or service providers, and they may store data on servers in other countries.
- Public content. If your comment is approved, the comment text and the display name and website you provided will be visible on the article page. Your email address and IP address are not published.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above.
- Published comments remain on the site until removed as part of moderation or at your request, where feasible.
- Comment metadata (such as IP and user agent) is retained with the comment record for moderation and security.
- Emails you send us are kept for as long as necessary to handle the conversation and maintain records, then archived or deleted.
- Server and CDN logs are kept for a limited period for operations and security, then deleted or aggregated.
International access and transfers
Cupareo serves a global audience. Our hosting and caching/CDN partners may process data in locations outside your state or country. By using the site or emailing us, your information may be transferred to and processed in those places.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal information, including:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information or delete information we no longer need.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example, asking us to remove a published comment you authored, where feasible).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Children
Cupareo is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
